Dickstock -- March 18 2017.

Since they only publicise this on Facebook, I had to join Zuckerberg's privacy-destroying site to find out about it.
Will update here as more is announced.

I was waiting for the bands lineup to be announced before starting to promote this event on the home page, Lamma-zine, Events Calendar and this Lamma Events forum. Just received, updated poster from yesterday...

Dickstock T-shirts 2017:
White logo on black T-shirts only this year, no other colors, but sizes up to XXXXL.

NOW they tell me

Just went up there, perfect weather. Nice sunset. Not a single fucking person there.

Last year, everyone knew it was on, except me.
This year, everyone knew it was cancelled, except me.
A more paranoid person might sense a conspiracy.

Well, we didn't want you to know about the conspiracy, otherwise it wouldn't have worked, would it! ;~}

But it was a good test of how widely they'd have to announce it online for everybody to notice.
Having the POSTPONED poster in huge, prominent size on this home page, a Lamma-zine story full-column width, the Events Calendar, this forum, the multiple Lamma Facebook groups, my Facebook page, etc. was enough to keep everybody else away from the postponed event. But it's a beautiful area up there, good sunset watching, just above the Lamma Ferry Disaster location...

What more can we do next to let everybody know? Snapchat? Pinterest? Twitter? Old-fashioned mass email? Personal phone calls?

Admittedly, a longer advance warning would have been appreciated, I only saw and posted the poster one day before the event and all over this website only on Sat early morning, maybe too late for more people?
And the weather didn't play along with the so-very-often wrong forecasts. O.1mm rain in the 24 hours covering the entire Dickstock event...

And that's what I was following, assuming any updates would also be there.

There was no follow up, aside from a spat with Vince. So I assumed it was all fine.
Whatever secret Facebook groups this cancellation was announced in, I had no fucking clue.

The weather was perfect, I guess there was a typhoon warning I also missed.
