NEW MANAGEMENT AT SPICY ISLAND
You have probably already heard that Amar Singh is now the sole owner of Spicy Island, Kumar having sold his share of the business to further his career in the hotel industry.
Amar hails from Kangra in the mountainous region of Himachal Pradesh and has previously owned or managed restaurants in India and Hong Kong.
To extend the menu and quality of food Amar has appointed a new chef Thapasi Mani Job. Mani left his native Mumbai in 1978 to cook in restaurants in Muscat, Hong Kong and Taiwan before joining us on Lamma.
New dishes include:
Masala Dosa the famous south-Indian pancake with vegetable filling
Shammi Kabab succulent minced lamb kababs
Tandoori Khajana a platter of mouth-watering tandoori items
Fish Koliwada deep fried marinated garoupa
Spicy Island will also be introducing daily specials in addition to their existing set lunch of lamb, chicken or vegetarian curry with rice and soft drink for HK$45 and set dinner of lamb, chicken or vegetarian curry accompanied by samosa, tikka, salad and rice for HK$60. |
