Following up to our former long-running series of WHERE ON LAMMA? and TYPICALLY LAMMA, I'm suggesting a new series of WHAT'S THIS ON LAMMA?
It would show unusual things and sights on Lamma, alive or inanimate, including closeups or unusual angles, making something familiar look new and different. It could be anything from an unusual reptile to a tattoo to a unique event or unusual sighting.
Guesses don't have to be correct but, even better, they could be funny or silly or even "thought-provoking", if you're so inclined....
Let me start with this sight in YSW harbour I have never seen before. What could these barrels be and what do they contain that seems to be so fragile? Wild guesses are most welcome! _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

| Boring but accurate answer: they're fenders for an ocean-going, or at least large, ship, to stop the hull from smashing into the quayside when it docks. The equivalent of the tyres along the sides of the tug in the photo there. |
