Submitted by Lamma Fun Day organisation committee, with an illustration by Harry Harrison:
After 20 years of long hair our social eco-entrepreneur Bobsy has decided to shave his head for charity!
To celebrate his 15 years in Hong Kong, Life Café co-owner and Lamma resident Bobsy has decided to mark this occasion by taking shears to those blond locks and shaving it all off, all in the name of charity!
LIVE ON STAGE
at the 8th Annual Lamma Fun Day, November 4th, 2007
TO SEE THIS WE NEED TO RAISE HK$15,000!!!
Please send donations directly to CWS by:

I last saw Bobsy about 11 years ago. His hair was pretty long even at that time.
I have not seen him since. |

Lamma.com.hk will again have a stall in the centre of the Fun Day. As there's no Lamma Wildlife calendar this year, we'll be selling various new, printed items, ALL profits going to the charity,of course.
Do YOU have some new printed items that are either Lamma-related or written/photographed by Lammaites to sell and are willing to donate part of the sales price to the Children Welfare charity? Contact me right now!
So far we've got gardening wall calendars (showing several Lamma gardens), gardening postcards, the butterfly book and the World Visions bookby Paul Lau in Lo So Shing, a Lamma pets book, and more coming in, I hope...
The main purpose of the stall will be to meet and greet visitors and friends of this website, talking to you and finding out how we can improve the site in general and in detail. So stop by and let us know your frank opinions and suggestions, please, no need to buy anything! _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Who's got some nice photos to show from the Fun Day? We've got more than enough photos of Bobsy already (see home page).
I was running the Lamma.com.hk stall together with Lamma-Por, so I didn't have much time to walk around and take pictures like in the last several years.
We sold quite a number of calendars, Lamma post cards and even a book or two by Lammaites. I've still got a few packs of Lamma postcards left which Robert the Photographer donated to the charity.
Who's got some nice photos to show from the Fun Day? _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

I thought that Lamma Fun Day was particularly moving this year--- specifically, Jim's public apology on stage touched me. I cant speak for everyone, but as far as Im concerned, all is forgiven.
By the way, did anyone pay the kid 5$ to touch that hideous nest of Bobsy's hair? |

Yes, I think that this will be one of the things to remember about this year's Fun Day, see below.
Trying to sell the touching of this new blessed religious relic, he's quite an entrepreneur, this young lad whose name escapes me just now. One of Annapurna's flock?
He asked me in person how to get onto this website. Now he is!
Doesn't he look like a perfect candidate himself for next year's Lopping of the Locks, if we want to continue this obviously very profitable tradition of public shearing. _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Shaving your front would probably raise more money, the ENTIRE front, top to bottom...
Do you have anything to apologise for?
Or are you afraid it might take you all day to apologise for so many things? _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Let's see how a front-shaved Granola Eater would look like, see below!
Wow, that's actually quite a big improvement, I think!

| That is incredible. I wonder if we could have been separated at birth? |

Hahahaha, that's a good one, GE! Uncanny resemblance, I have to admit, even better than Harry's cartoon!
Separated at birth? Perhaps. More like a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story, but who's who has not been confirmed yet... _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Great video and soundtrack - anyone know which band?
Unfortunately, this has scuppered my planned 'Lamma lookalikes' feature. I had Bobsy down for Marge Simpson. |

I just got a Private Message from the above boy's mother, also a regular forum reader. The boy is named Sholto and lives in Po Wah Yuen. The mother wasn't sure to be proud or horrified about the inventive entrepreneurship of her son, collecting this hallowed hair, this religious relic, from the stage floor (not the lopped-off ponytail) and charging Bobsy's disciples $5 for touching it!
She should surely be very proud of her son's hair recycling initiative, of course, another future ecopreneur in the making, following in Bobsy's hallowed footsteps!
The next day, their helper called the mother at work, asking what all the "strange orange stuff" all over their house was! _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |
