Coming Saturday, July 23, 2005, will be the 3rd anniversary of these forums.
Webdog started them on Tue, Jul 23, 2002, at 10:07am, as a little hobby.
I joined in as member #13 on Aug 2, helping out webdog as site admin and moderator during his very frequent business trips.
As the only remaining site admin these days, these forums got help from 10 forum moderators taking care of their personal areas of interest. More moderators would always be welcome...
In these 3 years, 1,020 registered members have started 2,234 topics, posting 20,930 messages, generating a 24.51MB database of messages.
There have been so many heated discussions on a wide range of interesting topics of local interest and a lot of silly stuff made up, much of it great fun.
What's been the best and worst of these 3 years, in your own personal opinion?
Last but not least and most importantly, how should we celebrate this momentous occasion, if at all? _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Thank you, Samson!
You seem to be the only one beside me so far who cares about this anniversary...
As there seems to be absolutely no interest in a party or any celebration among our members, we might do something just for the moderators in the next few weeks.
I'll be celebrating at Geng's party in Aroy Thai tonight, a public event (free food!) to celebrate the farewell of Dan & Geng from Aroy Thai, focusing on their Thailand resort & restaurant (and the Lamma Gourmet shop) from beginning of August.
Be there and you might get your photo into the Lamma-zine Blog on the home page tomorrow. _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

From half a world away, I offer my congratulations to Webdog and Lamma Gung for creating such an interesting place to learn more about Lamma!
From my IT perspective, I can appreciate how much work goes into keeping such a site on the air (some of it pretty intense when things go wrong), and for that the folks on Lamma should offer thanks to their webmaster. It isn't an easy job, but I know from experience it can be rewarding to rise to the challenge.
Well done!  _________________ Lead me not into temptation;

Thanks, Chuck!
Your quote is already on the home page, within minutes of me seeing it.
Positive feedback or even praise is an extremely rare but most precious commodity on Lamma, so it's nice to get some encouragement from so far away! _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Anybody got any opinions about what they liked and disliked about these Lamma.com.hk forums since they joined up?
Any thoughts about this third anniversary? _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Personally, the best part of Lamma.com is that it has become a tidy little earner for me. Ive been getting 3 cents a hit since January and it really ads up. Went and paid cash for one of the luxury condos at tannery beach (and if I see Alan peering through the barbed-wire while Im poolside Ill set the hell-hounds loose).
Also, it has been heart warming to witness Guy Miller's growth from a boy into an adolescent. I feel confident that one day he will become a man.
To celebrate, I will be observing a moment of silence with my pants at half mast for the fallen comrades who can no longer be arsed to post anything anymore.
That is all. |

| As a birthday special, could we have all of Guy's posts up on one thread? |
