Can any one tell me why the Bistro has closed, I have a few suggestions myself.
1. The food has just gone downhill since Richard left.
2. The staff in there were so bad, it ruined business.
3. Dave has locked himself behind the doors and is not coming out until every drop of alcohol has been drunk.
4. It's too bloody cold in the winter and too bloody hot in the summer to eat there. _________________ I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! |

I've asked the other owner of the Bistro by email about it, receiving no reply at all, which is most unusual for him.
It might be a temporary "restructuring" closure, but could also be permanent, unfortunately. Who knows the true story?
It might help the re-opened Water Front (after a 2.5-month closure) attract some new business as their new menu is quite similar to the Bistro's, but much shorter and cheaper. _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

Update from Charlie, co-owner of the Bistro:
"The Bistro has been closed, temporarily, for repairs. It will reopen in March, I shall let you know in advance." _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |

I heard that the drains are going to be replaced and then they are going to look for a whole new bunch of staff for the bistro, but I still have not seen anything going on but I am in the city during the day and not likely to see anything anyway, I will have to leave it to the Island dwellers to keep us city folk updated. _________________ I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! |

Well, I have never seen anything going on in there either during the day.
As for "doing a runner", both the owners are still around and can be seen frequently on the island, not running at all, but walking at a normal pace.
The longer they stay closed, more and more of their former customers might move over to the Water Front with a very similar menu. _________________ Click here for new Lamma-zine stories and recent Photos of the Day and Artworks of the Day |
