Lamma Fun Day is looking for sponsors & volunteers!

The Child Welfare Scheme is organising the 5th Lamma Fun Day on Nov 21. I've joined the organising committee recently and we're still looking for more volunteers with various talents. Former main organiser "Laudable Lamma Luminary" Doggy has handed over all his many former duties to us. This should become the best & most successful Fun Day ever, we hope!

Fundraising target: HK$50,000!

In the meantime, have a look at the website of the Child Welfare Scheme and last year's Lamma Fun Day website, which we'll soon be updating comprehensively!

5th Lamma Fun Day Needs Your Goodies!

Lamma Fun Day is back again - for the fifth year running! Sun, Nov 21st, 2004
We need your second-hand goodies!!!

Lamma Fun Day caters to both adults & children with an abundance of games, activities, stalls and plenty of food & drink. Come & enjoy the fun & sunshine while benefiting disadvantaged children in Nepal!

As tradition dictates, we shall be having a BRIC-A-BRAC stall and need your 'no longer required' goodies to sell! All proceeds go to the Child Welfare Scheme - helping kids in Nepal.

Please start collecting - anything from clothes to books to stereos.

Forward this message to friends etc... who may also have items to give away!

Anyone who has goods, but needs help getting it to the Fun Day, please let us know and we will arrange to collect it from you and take it over to Lamma ourselves.

Think you might need to discuss Lamma Fun Day with HEC - currently they are digging at trench the length of the 2nd Power Station road in the direction of Lamma Fun Day.
So much for simple surveying work.

This picture was taken on Sunday close to the Hung Shing Ye/YSW path - the roadworks extended further up the road towards Mt. Panorama, & has even continued beyond Mt. Panorama on the road leading down to sea-level - an area which they were working on during Sunday.
However the roadworks shown are heading down towards the Fun Day location - nice timing

And getting closer.
No, the surveying work finished within the last few days & the heavy equipment was all moved out today.
The previous cable maintenance finished just at the time the surveying began.

All this new stuff started within the last few days

OK, I've already initiated to ask HEC about it. I'll post the answer when it's coming back.
As HEC is the main sponsor of the Lamma Fun Day, I'm sure they don't want to obstruct the event in any way.

But let's return to the actual event now. Anybody got questions or comments about the Lamma Fun Day?

We are looking for volunteers to help …..

Setting up in the morning,
Handing out flyers on ferry pier,
Collecting food (8.45am and/or 12.45pm),
Helping out on stalls (cakes / bric-a-brac / kids face painting),
General lifting and moving stuff,
Packing up in the evening.

Make some quick & easy cash!

Food & drink stalls at $500, all other stalls at only $250!

So far, we've got stalls reserved in the following categories:
Bric-a-Brac, Information, Massage, Food, Education, Games, Handicraft, Jewelry, Gift Items & "Stuff".

Make up a new category yourself!
Alcohol stalls need prior registration and proper licensing!

NUDE is not listed in the blog entry of NOV10 but in this topic on NOV11.
Will they play at Lamma Fun Day or not?
If yes, I would point it out a little more.

The griffiti we had it done by about 2 years ago from one of the best DJ we known, and we still have a picture for it! I'm grad you like it! Very Happy

Yes, it's really a fantastic piece of Graffiti in that huge old abandoned rave house above Tai Peng!

I've been asking the Fountainhead graffiti Artist, Dofi, if it's one of his creations, but he said no. I'm featuring him as the artist of the month in the next Lamma-zine, with his many other graffitis he's done all over HK. Some of them are truly amazing.
