Why did you think I'd look inside? Laughing

Well, it was kind of dangerous hanging off the ledge, without getting my feet wet in the sweet water lake of the now open Lamma Quarry, Lamma's true bird paradise and my new favourite biking area.

Maybe this is some protective gear belonging to the off-island wargamers in the Quarry? There were wargames on Easter weekend, according to the friendly guardian of the old cement factory I had a pleasant chat with in fluent English yesterday.

Anybody got a contact for the wargamers? I can smell a good Lamma-zine story & photo shoot...

Looks like a ramp to bike off into the water, and that gear looks like mountain biking pads

Wow, really? That would make for some spectacular photos!
The water there is actually deep enough for such a jump...

I know who to ask about this, meeting them on the Snake Trail on the way to the Lamma Quarry a few weeks ago...

Too bad it's obscured by that strangely-shaped shadow. Otherwise I'm sure I'd get it.

Well, that was easy, wasn't it, even though it's not easy to see the Cable Road these days under all this overgrowth. It seems that it's never used anymore?

Here's another one, a bit more difficult, also shot this morning, before the tropical storm rains started...

Most of the recently posted pictures got no correct reply, nobody able to tell us where they were taken on Lamma. Do many of our forum members know so little about their home or were the pictures too difficult to guess... or is it just a stupid game, running for too many years and nobody really cares anymore?

Well, one last try, see below. Almost every Lammaite has seen this item before.
But why is there a chain installed? Can this item be stolen so easily?

It’s one of the fine new benches at the end of the ferry pier. It's chained up because Lamma is full of Pykies

Where's this very dire, hard-core WARNING sign?

And what will happen if they catch you entering there?
What will they do to you to make you seriously regret it?

I'm really tempted to find out....
