How about an alternative listing to "Signs you've lived on Lamma for too long" from ex-Lammaites: Signs you've lived off-island too long

Some suggestions:

1. You don't know any of the buskers, jugglers, fire-eaters you happen to walk past in town

2. Its not normal too see a naked person up a tree at 3am

3. You're gobsmacked if you happen to see someone wearing a loincloth and playing the nose-flute walking down your main street

4. You always lock your door (although looks like you have to too now -- damn shame)

5. Half a bottle of vodka would kill you these days, let alone a bottle and a half

....any more?

My guess would be:

You can still hear frogs / cicadas (sp?), air-cons ,in your ears after two years as you go to sleep.

You expect everyone to accept that you are an incurable acloholic and should be given credit, brought drinks, sympathised with etc...

You long to see a VV driver to mow down in your car.

Any Asian girl in town you give a sly wink too.

You still say Lockhart Do as you get in a taxi when you meant Tescos?

and you stumble round the Sydney harbourside at 4am wondering why you can't find the right sampan pier ...

On the contrary, you find it strange that the streets arn't filled with lumps of poo poo... and in extreme cases, you even miss walking through the warm brown lumps!

• You start to miss the smell of shrimp paste.
  
• You have regular and vivid dreams of being back on Lamma (this is true!).
  
• You realize that you still have more friends back on Lamma than you do in your current location, even after six years of living there.
  
• You can no longer remember any of the reasons you left Lamma in the first place.
  
• You get nostalgic about bullfrogs.
  
• You check out Lamma-zine and the Blog far too frequently and with accompanying wistful sighs.
