But Californians like Doody are most welcome, as they'll fit right in.
They're very different from Americans, aren't they?

Dear friends to be I hope----I find that spiders and ants and cockroaches will listen my speeches --which i give most days, right after cocktail time. I never kill them and i expect they will stay out of places like my bed and kitchen. They have complied up till now. Can i expect the same in Lamma?.
Also i find that patchouli oil, which i slather on my bod every day, besides pissing off my friends, seems to ward off the above plus fleas. Are the centipedes hip in Lamma--how about law enforcement?

Bobsy might have a nice shed you can sleep in. Or a teepee, but you will have to put up with the sharing sessions.

Pinky might have something similar, but she will charge you loads to have a 'house' that floods, leaks and falls down.

Talking about inflated flat prices:

Anybody notice that 2/F+rooftop, 700sqft flat Jackson property is advertising for $8,800 (or 1.5 million!) on a big sign outside his shop?

Knowing where this flat is located we looked at an almost identical rooftop flat yesterday in an identical building just a few meters away from Jackson's flat... for $5,000!
And another similar rooftop flat advertises for $4,000 on Main Street, dropping recently from $5,000.

So many empty flats around to choose from, no need ever to pay what's being asked; and deal with the landlords directly whenever possible...

Jackson is widely known to be a gouging money grabber, he always shows the rubbish first. I found the agents on main street where Nick sells the books and the one up the road towards pizza milano to be a bit better. But at the of the day they are all out maximise profits.

The Man Fung Restaurant agent (first off the ferry) is trying to let a furnish 700 square foot flat for 10.5K unfurnished it is going for 9.5K. They are just asking for a stream of time wasters to go view it Twisted Evil .

Just now, I've found Jackson's website, from a listing inside a Lamma travel story in Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel magazine which I received by registered mail from the editor this morning (remember the Concigamant?? saga?):

www.LammaResort.com
The only property agent on Lamma with a website on Lamma, as far as I know. But no property listings, just contact info and no email address. Quoting from one of the grand total of two content pages:

www.LammaResort.com wrote:
As night falls, sounds of jazz. laughter and celebrations created from the many fine dining eateries gathers the people on the Main Street.

There is only a fistfull of places in Hong Kong where magic and romance remain. Lamma Island is one of them.

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

The tourism board should pay him for promoting Lamma so poetically!
But where's this jazz place he mentions?
And, more importantly, where's the "magic and romance" hiding? Laughing
