Upon further enquiry, the construction guys said that the works will be mostly concentrated outside the narrowest part of Back Street, just above Ah-Can's Tropicana takeaway shop, No. 66, so most of Back Street will still be usable for pedestrians during this time period.

Here's an additional map and a pedestrian diversion, via the hairdresser down to the Lamma Gourmet on Main Street. The closure and diversion in the first map applies more to Village Vehicles which can't use the much shorter pedestrian diversion.
