Wow, that last close-up is definitely home page worthy, as a Photo of the Day!

Pet photos are always welcome for the Photo of the Day spot.
Animals that are not pets have their own Wildlife of the Day spot, open to everybody as well.

The largest snail (length of a standard pen) I've ever seen on Lamma. I took the picture yesterday afternoon, just off the paved path between Tung O Village and Sham Wan (Turtle) Beach.

Right after the rains, the snail seemed to enjoy the 100% humidity, like the mosquito swarms, flies, butterflies and shrieking cicadas all around us.

Notice the fly riding on the snail's back.
