While taking all 4 different Lamma ferry routes in a single day, I came across this notice below about fare increases below at the Sok Kwu and Mo Tat Wan Wan ferry piers. Comparing at the old fares till yesterday, there are across-the-board fare increase of very close to
20%!

The press release and the notice about the new fares does not mention at all how much the fares have increased.
But I haven't heard a single complaints from South Lamma residents, or anybody, it doesn't seem to be an issue? An increase like this on one of the other 3 Lamma ferry routes could cause a firestorm of protests....
While checking it out later on the ferry.com.hk website -
http://www.ferry.com.hk/eng/service.htm - they have a pretty detailed price list for goods to be transported, for example $16 for a single "Unit" of "Fired pig", $25 for a box of "Fishes, springs" and up to a maximum of $22 for a washing machine or an outboard engine, items quite commonly transported on ferries, it seems.
To my pleasant surprise, the cheapest item on the list is $8 only for a bicycle.
