I only caught a glimpse of this Chestnut-flanked White-eye in a flock of about 20 Japanese White-eyes and .... I'll keep an eye out for in future..

Nancy... is a Rufous-tailed Robin.
As with some other species, I have posted rather a lot of pics of them and am worried it is becoming a little tedious for some people.

As with the Blue Whistling Thrush, Japanese Thrush & Red-flanked Bluetail I have done a separate thread with a clickable hyperlink from the image in "Lammas top ten birds" (above) so only those interested enough need view the "extra" photos.
Am also thinking of turning the "Bird" threads into a sort of blog form with some habitat etc description, location, and dates so we can see the arrival departure times of the migrant birds..... creating a form of Lamma Bird database that everyone who is interested in can partake with sightings, anecdotes etc, even if they are not into taking pics .... just a thought... we'll see......... or I may do it separately on my own site.

Good news, bad news & really bad news...
The good news... I have a 1st winter male Eyebrowed Thrush visitor to the garden.
The bad news...... is a lousy shot & now I can't leave the garden till I get a decent shot.
The really bad news.... last time I saw him was about 2 weeks ago

More nice shots. The bush warbler is very hard to see, so well done on that, and the chestnut-flanked white-eye is the first record for Lamma as far as I know
