15 days of Chin. New Year are over now, last Lo Bat Go just finished, and here's the last photo of the CNY of the Sheepramgoat:

Chow Yun-fat visiting Lamma over the holidays, encountering quite a number of Lammaites while hiking in the hills, for example Chris the Carpenter (one of the longest serving Lammaites) and Carole of http://www.LammaFlats.com.

Photo posted by Carole's iPhone, even though it was probably Fat-Gor taking it. He's a very experienced and professional selfie taker, even without a Selfie Stick, as I've seen myself in Andy's Seafood Rest. where I encountered him last, taking selfies with Andy and crew.

I wonder if Chris & Carole have seen Fat-Gor's latest movie filling HK's cinemas over the CNY holidays?

Lamma-Por saw the movie in Cyberport and loved it.

I couldn't resist the temptation to shoot a complete photosphere of their arcade afterwards:

About Chow Yun-fat growing up in South, then North Lamma, focusing on CNY activities, from AFspot:

"Fat Gor spent the New Spring this year hiking, and fans on many occasions "captured" him in the hills for photos! Recalling his childhood Lunar New Year on the Lamma Island, Fat Gor said that he would light firecrackers and help his family make a lot of cakes for the neighborhood. "The cakes were steamed in a big wok, we also had Gok Jai, Red Bean Cake, Turnip Cake, several catty worth. At the time we didn't have much to eat, so the food could last us until May 5th! Life was poor back then, we weren't feasting like now. We were only willing to slaughter a pig for the Lunar New Year. Normally we rarely had chicken. Usually it was just white rice and vegetables. So during the Lunar New Year we really had fun eating!"

Speaking of the traditions and customs then, Fat Gor said that he had to worship gods, heaven and earth and could only say something lucky. When he was little was Fat Gor silver tongued to get more lai see? He said, "No! Lai see was only 5 to 10 cents, only enough to get candy. You couldn't get much with it. In addition, Ah Ma put them away, you wouldn't get your hands on lai see!"

More recent Chow Yun-fat sightings in Sok Kwu Wan, from Bebe V coffee shop and Rainbow Rest.

That beaming guy to the left of CYF looks like the Village Head of Tung O Village who's been stopped from building at and close to Tung O Wan beach. It looks a large abandoned construction site nowadays...

We did a site visit with him a few years back when he was hoping to convince the Gov't. to let him build tourist facilities, clean up the rivers, etc.:
