The discussions between our friend Mr./Mrs. Ewald and others, myself included, has deteriorated from mutually awkward misunderstanding to that of (from the Chinese idiom) a chicken talking to a duck. There appears to be no common ground of understanding. I'm assuming that Ewald is not bonkers, not stoned out of his mind on peppermint schnapps and barbiturates, neither a nutter nor a troll. My sense is that Ewald is entirely sane, quick witted, very human and merely promoting an agenda on these forums as all of us are wont to do. One difficulty, Ewald, is that while I have a clear sense that you are here marketing something - I can only guess what it is. Why don't you declare yourself? You are ready to name others, to rename parts of Lamma (oil peddlers' beach) but you fail completely to name whatever it is that
you are peddling here. If you were to do so, I think there would be considerably more generosity towards you and greater mutual understanding.
If, for example, I knew that you
did have some connection to BOL, I would be keen to ask you questions about the Green and environmental sustainable aspects of the proposed development. At appears, from the
website, that there are many interesting proposals associated with Baroque. I'd like to know more about them. And if there were any opportunity - I know there are many who would be keen to share interesting ideas with you.
It doesn't have to be chicken and duck!
But, even as it is I think there's also a lot of projection going on - I think duck is projecting his inner chicken and visa versa. Whos to say who is who and what is what??? Who are the 'stupid environmentalists' and who are the 'self serving developers'? Who are the nutters and who are the trolls? If I was most honest with you all I would have to admit there is a little of all of the above in me
