You can call a sampan from Aberdeen to take you. I did it one late night from Sok Kwu Wan to Yung Shu Wan for around $150. I don't have any phone numbers, but someone from one of the restaurants in Mo Tat Wan or Sok Kwu Wan should be able to help.

There are sampans and speedboats based in Sok Kwu Wan that'll be happy to get you from Mo Tat Wan to Yung Shue Wan at almost any time of night. I recommend the speedboats, great fun and really fast.

The Bay restaurant in Mo Tat Wan organised it, 2-3 years ago, calling them as soon as you're ready. They might even get you a special deal if the restaurant organises it. But I don't have the Sok Kwu Wan sampan/speedboat contacts...

Is the road well-lit during night time?

Many people carry torches (flashlights) on the unlit paths at night. When there is no Moon, you can easily fall off the road or step on squishy things.

When they come to my place they carry pitchforks as well. :cool-blue:

i walked from MTW to YSW very late at night a few times, after dinner and too many drinks at the old Cococabana. Took off my high heels and wore some flip flops. I am still alive. It's doable even without a torch, provided you know your way.

Well,it's a broad concrete path. Once your eyes adjust it's not an ordeal.

Perhaps a walking stick or cane would be helpful. It gives you something to keep any stray dogs at a distance as well as helping impaired balance.

Foreign Body,

Your public profile lists your occupation as "hunter & gatherer".
So, did you get some hunting and gathering done on that long, dark and lonely walk from Mo Tat Wan to Sok Kwu Wan? Lots of opportunities...

The first time I was walking that nice path the other way round it took me something like 55 minutes. But that was by almost crawling, after 4+ hours of getting lost in the hills around the Youth Hostel, walking all the way from YSW via the wind turbine and Luk Chau to the Youth Hostel and Sok Kwu Wan, a stupid trick I'll never ever repeat.

Fortunately, the return trip from Mo Tat Wan to Yung Shue Wan by speedboat took all of about 20 minutes...
