The party which we call "Pull Moon Party" this year has been going on since many years although not different names.
Each year there were many Filipino bands from ethnic, over world, reggae, blues, jazz and even dance music. There was a lot of performance art.
Those events were rather large and the whole thing is sponsored by San Miguel.
During the same time there is a gay parade at the other end of white beach.
White Beach is packed during this time.

I can't give you too much info about what will happen this year since we are still in the early stages of planning. My partner has just emerged from hiding and I coincidentally ran into another guy who used to organize these events.

All I tell you so far is that it used to be wild and this year it will get much wilder and bigger.

Most musicians are Filipino although almost every band has one or two gweilos and there are gweilo artists as well. (like for example I)

There are still rooms and plenty of boats going there.
There is still space for bands.
But I have yet to talk to San Miguel but I have the people signed up.

According to him it's because he is the head of a human rights organisation.
The military started a cleaning operation in Puerto a couple of months ago.
Things easily get heated in the Philippines but also cool off pretty soon.

I wanted to post a long message this morning.
After I typed it and send it off, the website went on strike for a few minutes.

Things are rocking.
My partner has been released from detaintion and we are ready.
Several bands have singned up but there is still room for more.
That brings me to the next point.
Accomodations start at HK $ 150 for a normal simple room/ cottage to HK $ 450 for an aircon room.
Lot's of people camp out on the beach or rest wehere they fall.
I am still waiting for the transpo info.

We will involve San Miguel beer again to pay for PA system and other ammenities.
There wont be money to pay the bands but we hope we'll get a sponsor for rooms.

Lamma is about the overall size of Anglsey - I'd reckon. Or, London if you flattened the place out. My best estimate of a similar sized island is Texel in Holland -- but I could be wrong.
