I have been doing a very early "spring cleaning" in my flat and have put together quite a large bag of unwanted, although in very good condition clothes. Also I have a few items of cutlery and small furniture. Does anyone know a place which GIVES, rather than sells them to the needy? 8)

I believe you may donate the clothes to Salvation Army, following is the address of the collection centre and their contact number.

Wanchai Thrift Store
G/F., 31 Wood Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong
Opening Hours: Mon-Sun & Public Holidays 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
(Tel:2572-2879)

when i used to live in berlin, there was an institution called "free box", it was an old closet placed in the street somewhere, and everybody who has things they dont need can put it inside. then if you see something inside that you like, you can just take it.
I would greatly support putting up such a free box in yung shu wan, as i am too lazy to search for some charitable institution everytime i have the odd sweater to get rid off, and besides sometimes you can find just the most amazing things

There's enough old shit lying around YSW without putting a bloody giveaway cupboard in the street. Get a grip.
