Anybody know any good jokes, cartoons or stories about Lamma?

I haven't passed my probation period (1 year, isn't it?) of living on Lamma yet, so I don't know many stories myself. :)
Could the Lamma old-timers help us out with some of their best stories?

Here's an oldie-but-goodie I just found online, pre-1997r:

Lamma Island declares independence:

A special edition of the Lamma Gazette was distributed to residents of Hong Kong's Lamma Island.
On its front page was an announcement that the Island had been declared an independent republic.
Prime Minister Chris Patten was to head its government. Mr. Patten's policy plans for the island reportedly included the following ideas:
the lifting of duties on tobacco and alcohol, the encouragement of hemp farming, and the use of llamas to graze the island's grass.

Maybe Cheshire K@ can tell us more, as he's been working for the Lamma Gazette long ago?

Hmmm!

Lamma Island Declares Independence
A special edition of the Lamma Gazette was distributed to residents of Hong Kong's Lamma Island. On its front page was an announcement that the Island had been declared an independent republic. This was definately one of Andy's (other island bar folk involved)

Derek was dead and the LG had gone on-line so the guys just went ahead and used the Lamma Gazette name for a special addition in print, reasoning that if the shit hit the fan I'd get the blame. He He!

Andy got a nice letter back from Chris Patten saying keep up the good work. Chris used to pop over to Lamma for quiet weekends and snook into the Waterfront on occasion. Lavender was nice too.

Nick Lovatt kidnapped "Whisky" and "Soda" and got paid a huge ransom without getting caught.

Waytogo Nick!
