I think this is the first time I've seen an explicit dress code, describing proper and improper attire in detail, for any event or venue on Lamma.
A sign of things to come, after spotting more suits on the ferries?

This evening I was coming back to Tai Peng past the fire station and saw one of the nuns from the chapel running along the path, wearing the full length brown habit and head scarf. I thought she was just late for something, but a few minutes later she was running back the other way. Then again. I saw her stop at Tai Peng for a minute then turn back. So it looks like proper attire for nuns applies even when they're jogging in 28 degree heat.

Photos!!!

This must be one of the new, younger nuns and it's great to see these cheerful members of our community keeping fit! But heat stroke is a real danger she's facing and there might be some regulations that might allow less formal dress for strenuous activities? Maybe not...

Some more feedback from a church member commenting on this "proper attire" poster:

"It's about dressing up appropriately, we are attending a banquet with our King and the heavenly beings. It's just right that we dress up properly for the occasion."

can you prove that you're not a sentient cockroach projecting a hologram of a human being? proved or proven, I don't know which is correct.

Another event from the very active LAMMA CATHOLIC COMMUNITY
As always, all faiths and beliefs are welcome to submit their public events to this website and I'll be happy to post them all.

Yes, even the sentient cockroaches projecting a hologram of a human being mentioned in the last post above would be welcome in this forum. I suspect we might have a few of them hiding on Lamma.... :radiant:
