Dont' really know, but just guessing. They are known to like a lot of water, so that could be part of the problem. It is suggested that they should not be allowed to dry out betweeen waterings. Partial shade is also recommended if the sun is hot. Otherwise, maybe they just reached then end of their life? If you bought them in full bloom, then that might be what happened. Do they have seed cases on them where the flowers were? You might find that small seedlings spring up soon where the old plant used to be.
