Organised by Jane Ram, our Gardening Forum moderator:
Spring is in the air and the plant of your dreams awaits discovery during the Leap Year nursery trawl on February 29. This all-day event will include visits to a number of interesting New Territories nurseries.
We will finish with a Champagne afternoon tea party at the exquisite home of Jason Wordie, an acknowledged connoisseur of the finer things of life, including plants. In addition to being a multi-talented local historian, raconteur and writer, Jason is an outstanding baker. We will have ample time to enjoy his superb gardens at ground and roof levels while we partake of a glass of bubbly, tea, coffee, sandwiches, home-made cakes and other delights. He is already looking up recipes to ensure that we have an altogether delightful end to our day.
Charge: $300 per head (includes round-trip coach transport from Pier 4 in Central with pick-up/set-down at University Station and Champagne tea party).
Timing: 9am departure from Pier 4 in Central, returning at about 5pm. Queries to Jane Ram by e-mail or phone: 2982 0330.
