All the Fun of the Fair at Shenzhen’s Lunar New Year street market on January 20

Sign up today to enjoy Shenzhen’s Lunar New Year street market on January 20. It’s one of the great seasonal spectacles as one-kilometre of road is transformed into a river of scarlet and gold, overflowing with seasonal flowers and plants. Pedestrians only as Shenzhen people show their carefree, fun-loving side.

Your day out includes convenient round-trip cross-border coach travel, market visit, festive Sichuan lunch and a trip to Shenzhen’s Wholesale Plant Market.

Departure: 9am from Pier 4, Central (plus additional pickup/set-down at University Station).
Return to Central: approximately 5pm.
Charge: $300 for the entire day (includes lunch).

Jane's yearly tour to explore Shenzhen huge and colourful Lunar New Year street markets:

All the Fun of the Fair in Shenzhen

The annual Chinese New Year Market reveals a colourful, friendly, lively side to Shenzhen behind the shiny high-rise towers. An entire 1-kilometre stretch of road is pedestrianised and turned into a dazzling river of orange, red and gold. In place of vehicles, four lanes of stalls are laden with flowers and colourful plants of all kinds in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

On January 27 we will travel by private cross-border coach from Pier 4 in Central, with an additional passenger pick-up at University Station (Ma Liu Shui). The New Year street market will be our destination for the morning. Then we will have a festive lunch before heading for Shenzhen’s Wholesale Plant Market. This is a gardener’s dream, a vast area filled with plants of all kinds from enormous and rare trees to dainty annuals. Cut flowers, gardening accessories and pots of all kinds are among the other attractions.

Timing: 9am depart from Pier 4, Central
9.30 depart from University Station
5pm approximately, excursion ends at Pier 4

Cost: all-in charge: $400 per person
