Post subject:  new moms meet up?

Hello,

I am a new mom, my baby daughter was born in July 2012. I was wondering if there were other moms around who would like to meet up? So we can hang out, ask questions and tell each other how great a job we are doing :)

Hi Andrea,

Did you get any replies? I had a baby girl October 2012, so she's almost 8m old. Feel like she should be getting more interaction from other little humans :-)

HI Kasia
Sorry I just saw your message!
You're welcome to come over to our place for a play date. Nola (my baby) has several friends now and we'd love to see your baby be part of the group! :)
We live on Main Street. My number is 54129585, what's yours?

My daughter was born in Feb 2012 and my wife would love to meet other moms with kids that age. Her English is not too good, though, so she's a bit shy. But the little one makes up for it by babbling without a break. No idea how she breathes.

Do you guys sometimes hang out anywhere frequently? We often go to Hans Andersen Club playroom and to the playground at the football place or to Powerstation beach.

Hi Lammanaut
I didn't know HAS had a playground, we'll go check it out. There is regular informal weekly playgroup with more or less the same babies, the helpers coordinate with each other as most parents work... Would your wife and your baby like to join? If so please leave a contact number or email and we'll let you know for the next ones. There are some moms who go also to the playgroup so your wife could meet other moms.

To Kasia: sorry I haven't called you for playgroups, I'm working full time now... but I know you've joined the last few times. Hope to meet you soon! You're the mom of Alexa, right?

If I was a kid, HAC would be my place to be.

:star: if both gates are closed, there's only one access to the playground
:star: outdoor area's got a roof so it's covered from sun and rain
:star: outdoors there are 2 slides and a toy house, open to public 24/7
:star: during opening hours, you can go in and use the ground floor facilities:
:star: TV, boxes of toys, computer lab, table tennis, table kicker, bookshelves...
:star: 1st floor is for later, kids go there for homework and take lessons offered by HAC
:star: vast list of activities from drama, DIY workshops to Karate courses for kids
:star: camera surveillance outdoors and indoors
:star: 1-3 very friendly, trilingual staff always present during opening hours
:star: they really really try to improve and serve the needs of parents
:star: membership is free, but non-members welcome to hang out, too

Hope a I could break a lance for them. It's always a fight to make my daughter leave and go back home.

Wow sorry I didn't realise you'd replied. Yup I'm Alexa's mum, funny I know Nola now but haven't even met you. Funny how that happens, I know all the babies and only a few of the parents. hehehe
I've been a couple of times when my work schedule allows, the rest of the time my helper takes Alexa to the playgroup. :-)
