I agree, Zep.
But I've actually chosen YOUR nicely alliterating title of "Bugs Behaving Badly" as the Lamma-zine photo gallery title for all the photos in this forum, including "Guys & Sheilas" photos.

I've used it already for your photo submission in my blog for the very first "Copulating Bugs" photo you've submitted recently...

More photos!

Well, maybe we'd better not get hung up on the names and enjoy the photos. I've mailed the lepdiopterists but haven't had a reply. To see some of their prize-winning photos, try this site:

Don't suppose you know any bug people - got about 100 different bugs - a lot of which I can't name.
Some really nice photos on the site - seems I have a long way to go to catch up - and different species to any I've seen, let alone photographed

Looks like a "Chestnut Angle" (Odontoptilum angulutum) which is fairly common in HK, although some of the markings are slightly different

Quite common in Malaysia but only very occasionally seen in Singapore

Seen sunning itself this morning near to Power Station Beach.

My apologies - my picture "Moth 6" on the first page isn't a plain moth after all, it's a Planthopper (Ricania species)- sort of a cross between a Moth & a Bug.
Not exactly sure which one, but they can be seen resting on grass stems & leaves & sometimes if you walk through long grass you can see dozens of them take to flight if they are disturbed.
