Icey Javier is on a roll.
After submitting some fine photos of a House Centipede yesterday, she's sent me a photo of a bat. This is a pretty rare photo as they're usually nocturnal and very shy, very hard to photograph.
Many of Lamma's photographers are also nocturnal, but are usually not taking photos at nighttime, engaging in different nocturnal activities in our bars and restaurants.
This is most likely a
Fruit Bat, quite common in certain areas of Lamma late at night, especially around fruiting trees. They especially seem to like Longans which are the perfect size for their tiny snouts and razor-sharp teeth.
