There are NO OTHER DARK BEERS besides Guinness !!!
At least, that's what the Guiness people try to keep on telling us...

Even my tough mother-in-law, a little old Chinese lady, loved the stuff and tried to turn me on to it.
She considered it as a kind of health tonic, she said, drinking it almost daily...

Yeah, right! . The occasional Guinness is good for your health, but a bit too bitter for my taste. There are many much smoother dark brews, but unfortunately they tend to originate in small localized micro-breweries and are therefore less likely to be found in other countries.

There is one advantage to drinking Guinness ... afterward you can break open the empty can and get a free "Guiness Widget" plastic ball for your cat to play with (or your dog to choke on). :?

Oh yes, there is!! Try Tooheys Old. They used to sell it at Great in Admiralty, but I'm not sure if they still do now. But I don't think it's available on Lamma.
