Honestly I have a mix feeling towards them. Their food is excellent, but the service go up and down like the tides. The outdoor tables is a bit of a disappointment because the chairs are too uncomfortable. Wish they could manage a better use of the place. Webdog rating: Goood! |

My favourite restaurant on Lamma. Great value for money, where else can you get a huge salmon and crab roe rice box for 40 $? $, I mean, 4 thick slices of raw salmon cost less here than at P&S or Wellcome!!! And the chairs are nice, maybe not very comfy, but they look fab! I cannot stand white plastic chairs, that's why I don't patronize places like Sampan. |

What's happened to Blue Bird? The food is now cooked more in a Cantonese style and taste than true Japanese. Maybe people like this new style better? Comments, please. New owner, new cooks, the poll has been reset to 0. Feel free to vote about the new Blue Bird... |

To sum up the discussion on the Chinese forum on Blue Bird thus far: 1. A complete change of waiters/waitress (the original crew are reportedly now working in other BB branches in HK). 2. A not-so-big change of cooks. 3. No change in ownership. 4. Change in menu, particularly the dinner sets. 5. Upward adjustment in prices! 6. Some members used to go to BB religiously, but given the above-mentioned factors (except #3), are not quite as keen now. |

I got serious food poisoning from there from the seafood rice that they often have on the set menu....from then on I have developed an intolerance to all shell fish...get very severe stomach cramps if I ever eat scollops, mussels etc. Will never eat there again. BIG THUMBS DOWN FROM LEGGOVA!! |
