Sampan and the Man Fung are over priced as well as serving miniscule dishes. Recommend everyone heads to the Lancome where the staff are friendly and prices reasonable.

They have one of the best locations for a seafood restaurant. Great open air tables, seaview, romantic small tables by the seaside. Besides, the service is great and no complain on the food. The world would be perfect if their pricing policy is not so tourist orientated! Once I went there with my friends for some seafood, but the prices were so deterring that we settled without ordering any seafood! It was a bit of embarrassment because as a local Lamma-ite, I should have known better... Anyway, now they have a more local-friendly menu for weekdays. The dish is a bit small, but at $25 each, what can you expect? Webdog rating: Ok laaa |

I went there for dinner with my relatives on 1/May (Labour's day). I know that's a holiday so many customers there was expected. However after 1 hour since we've placed the order our desk was still empty - without a single dish. And for 10 people I strongly recommend you to change to "medium" dish instead of default "small" ones - we've ordered 10 dishes but still can't cover the whole table! Dishes are definitely over-charaged when compared with same size/quality of food in town. Probably won't go there again for dinner anymore. |
