I note Thai Plus closed recently and was rapidly stripped bare of all fittings. I guess 3 Thais were too many for YSW. Good Luck Thai looks like it could use some, it seems pretty quiet these days... maybe someone announced that Elvis had left the building. I heard one restaurant owner complaining about the bad weather last weekend spoiling what might have been an end of school holidays weekend bonanza.

Turkish Pizza House moving to Thai Plus location?

Where does the Indian come into play that superpilot mentioned?

And what's two doors down? Carlito's Way, the Spanish tapas place?

It seems that I need to do another round of chatting with all of them on a non-busy weekday afternoon...

Thai Plus and Best Kebab & Pizza, two of our favourite, fine but underrated restaurants. Got you. Thanks!

We loved Thai Plus's Tom Yum Goong and fish cakes, but it was usually almost empty when we dined there. Very nice and friendly owner.

Got to have a chat with Best...'s Ahmed. His charming new wife Yeliz got quite home-sick initially living on Lamma, I think...

Best fish & chips on the island, in Lamma-Por's and my opinion. We even got home delivery from there, via Can't Get Jack, more than once.

Never tried Thai Thai Two inside, tiny, up in Tai Yuen, except their streetside takeaways. Is it as good as people describe it, real Thai home-cooking?

Good Luck Thai soldiers on, reopening after a complete kitchen renovation, still same menu and prices as their LKF location, but almost empty on weekdays, it seems. I haven't spotted their Chinese Elvis for months. How is it after their reopening?
