| Post subject: | Crispy Fry Garlic |
Hello everybody, I was on Lamma Island about 4 years ago and bought Crispy Fry Garlic from a street vendor. It was amazing. I bought a few jars thinking I could order more later, but I could never find any information about the company on the web. It had a red label on the front and I know it was made on Lamma. Does anybody know which product I'm talking about and how I can get my hands on more? Thanks in advance |

You may be in luck! I spotted some this week (if it's the same stuff) in little plastic bags near the dried noodles towards the right hand side back of the veggie/grocery shop next to the main frozen meat shop sort of opposite Lamma Gourmet! And if that is too obscure, can anyone help me out here with an address or a name? Good Luck Oh, and the dried fish shop near the middle of Main Street might have jars perhaps. |

Thanks, but this was an actual jarred product. I wish I could remember the name of the company, but I know the address was on Lamma Island. I bought it from a street vendor close to where the Hong Kong ferry ports. The bottle isn't that large, maybe 12 ounces, and the label is red. I've had other crispy fried garlic, but this was like garlic candy. It was so crisp and caramelized you'd want to eat it by the handful. |

Yung Shue Wan or Sok Kwu Wan ferry pier? They're selling various Lamma-made products in small jars along the SKW restaurants main strip. I'll have a look on my next hike in South Lamma, as soon as the rains stop... |

They sell jars of dried fried garlic in the place that sells dried fish on main street. I checked it out. It's on the same side as the Amber shop, near the hole in the wall shop that sells little cakes. It has some red on the label. Not sure if it is the same stuff. Could be though. Good luck! |
