Been there two times. I think the bar is perfect for me - it's great for younger people who cannot go to the Island Bar. |

I agree with you - it is an odd name. Totally out of the Lamma context - which is surprising because the owners are long time Lamma folk. The thought that occurred to me is that they were able to get a good price on a second hand sign. |

Perhaps the out of context name was chosen on purpose to suit the out of context bar (for Lamma). I like the bar but will admit the name could have been improved. Hope the food is good as could really use another option. |

Not sure I can get past the public toilets and the village bins that sit in front of the bar............ |

True...just sit wth your back to them! It still amazes me that the rubbish dump is in such a prominant location where everyone on the way to and from the ferry has to walk past it.. Must be a better site for it. |

They have food now? I've been waiting for weeks to actually try the place, like I would try any new eating place, giving them free publicity after their official opening. So far, we've only seen rare, special-occasion buffets and several times "We'll be ready and opening officially soon!" 7th Avenue seems to be open only at night, almost never during daytime whenever I walk by? Any official opening hours yet? Even their Facebook page ("Opened on 1 March 2012") only promotes their many specialty beers and liquors, not any food, and there's no website yet. Many people have been wondering and asking me what type of food they'll be offering and if it'll be "Deli Lamma II", but without the former wonderful location. The pretty sign was actually designed by former Lamma Artist of the Month Saheb, 7th Avenue's GM or Managing Director (?), I believe. See below. We'd love to hear from the managers and investors directly, they're most welcome to announce their news and post their promotions in this free forum, our long-standing offer to all Lamma restaurants. I got to find out their unusual opening hours and give it a try one of these days very soon, keeping an open mind and wishing them all the very best! There are a quite a few almost-empty bars in YSW already, but a new place to eat well would definitely be most welcome!

Ben writes: "I would like to invite everyone to 7th Avenue for 'Black Cat White Cat' on Saturday the 15th; starts at 730 until LATE just off LAMMA pier in a lovely bar called 7th Avenue. "We'll be showing a truly wonderful film under the stars. Come along and experience: Art installations, Headclowns (Gypsy Duet Music), Silent Art auction, World music, Paper CATS and so much more. "All this is free and you can get a delicious Pizza and Beer combo for only 100 HKD while the film is playing. Some of the profits go to the Cats of Lamma."
