"Dear friends of Vee and Steve
I am sorry to be passing on the very sad news that Vee died on Tuesday night. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year and given a year to live. Her friends that knew were living in hope that she would be the one to beat this horrible disease with her huge personality and determination to have as much time with Steve and her beautiful children Indi and Nina as possible.
I know her biggest regret and worry was that she would not be around in the physical world to watch her children grow up,
The tumor affected the areas of the brain controlling speech and memory... about the worst thing you could imagine for someone as vocal and intelligent as our Wioletta. I and many others that knew and loved her will have fond memories of her holding court at her home with a bottle or three of red wine and hours of lively conversation and debate. Always positive and fun and genuinely interested in the lives of those she cared for, willing and happy to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
She was in a coma and slipped away very peacefully with Steve, her father and ( I think ) sister by her side.
Steve has yet to finalise arrangements for her cremation and funeral, but says it will be around the 3rd of September.
