"Pissed and Paint-splattered Punters"
I like that! Sounds like another catchy Lamma-zine headline, don't you think?
But tell us more, please, and I'll publish your story!
For example, where was the venue? The football court before the harbour reclamation? There were basketball hoops in the video...
Anybody got photos of that area before the reclamation? I've rarely seen good photos of that area from that historic time, last millennium. Any other input and photos from people who were there and survived till today - quite a few of them still living here - would be most welcome for a big, nostalgic Lamma-zine story to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Corner Bar closing this Thursday, Dec 11.
It's being celebrated only in London, but not on Lamma, quite disappointing. I tried to get Mark, who ran the Corner Bar back then and runs B&B now, to tell me more about the good/bad old days, maybe even do a little commemoration, but he's not eager... Anybody else among the local Corner Bar survivors, maybe?
