Looks like that wily Lamma entrepreneur and former owner of the Waterfront Bar one Christopher Knox is now the owner of the 'Pattaya Today' newspaper. And has been for some time. Wonder how it all came about.

Lord Knox you mean? Heard he was in Pattaya, but didn't know he was now a press baron.

I suspect he managed to sell his ostrich farm to someone.

Hi Foxy. I've heard of Pattaya City News, Pattaya Mail and Pattaya People, all a bit naff, but never this one. If he is involved with said rag I guess he has a long way to go before becoming a press baron.

I think it would be nice if Chris Knox replied to Keith's Hassett's interesting inquiry at the 'Pattaya Today' website. Whilst he was unpopular when he finally left Lamma I always thought him a generous host when it came to handing out free beers at the Waterfront Bar. Also, anybody that could hide in Pinky Chan's wardrobe has a certain sense of adventure.

Looking at the latest issue of 'Pattaya Today 'I detect a change of news direction from press baron Lord Chris Knox. He seems to be taking the newspaper down market with gory photos of dead Germans and brutally beaten tourists from Estonia. In the October 1, 2007, edition there is a photo of Lord Knox sporting a racy Fu Manchu-style moustache.

Just had a look at Pattaya Today and you're right Toad, it;s unspeakably awful shite.
