"4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?"
As a Canadian, I have no objection to being owned by an American, as long as she is cute, wealthy and sexually insatiable.
I do however have a bone to pick with God re the matter of slaves being taken only from neighbouring countries. The only country which neighbours Canada is the US and I am therefore limited in my selection of slaves. I feel this is to the disadvantage of all Canadians desiring to own slaves and may well contravene the NAFTA agreement providing for free trade between Canada, the United States and Mexico. I therefore feel it is incumbent upon God to appear before the appropriate committee to present his case for Lev. 25:44.
While I understand that God is not a member of NAFTA, I feel that the matter of the taking of slaves only from contiguous countries can and should be resolved according to Chapter 19 Annex 1904.13 (Extraordinary Challenge Procedure) of the NAFTA Agreement. This is in the best interests of all concerned and God therefore has 15 days to respond following my request pursuant to Article 1904(13) of the NAFTA Agreement.
God, I await your response.
Sincerely yours,
Richie Rat
