I already admire this guy Frank.

Whilst some may rush to identify Alan as a likely victim of Big Frank's right hook. It was not. The actual victim committed suicide three years later by leaping off the Lamma Ferry. Wonder how common that is these days?

I really wish I could see Big Frank's right hook.

Only Lamma Gung can supply the current details of Big Frank Murdoch's whereabouts. By the way he also whacked some other people. Before suffering the indignity of being floored in the Island Bar himself. Those who live by the sword, must suffer the same indignity ultimately.

Some MAY rush to identify, but nobody actually did, so let's NOT have another argument between Senior Lammaites, please.

I haven't talked to Frank for years either, but the reasons for this will remain unknown and do NOT involve any physical violence.

The early days of Lamma's occupation by foreigners it was perhaps also different from the present day in that you could drop out of mainstream Hong Kong for many months knowing one had sufficient cash to support a gentle lifestyle, similar to Nick the Bookman. Back in the early eighties there were many people with no regular employment who somehow existed on the island indefinitely.

Actually I knew Vince Loden from Wanchai evening forays in 1983, just threw him in for good measure. He did some fantastic photographic stuff for the SCMP colour magazine before he switched to IT. I don't why he stopped being a top class photographer. Perhaps he can tell us? Buy him a drink, of course.
