 maybe that one should stay at the bottom of the picture shoebox at the very back of the cupboard... pleease Mr President... even if it was simply a sacred paganistic wedding guest ritual, traditionally performed to honour the newly be-ringed..... good to be in touch again

Great old pictures, wish you had more. Hum, you are reminiscing! Had trouble believing you didn’t miss the old days.
I visualize you now, throwing back a couple of cold ones, sitting at your boring desk, wiping a “few tears” away, but “oh” they must be from the head cold you got from the miserable winter you are still experiencing, as you remember your wild but carefree village lifestyle. LOL
Cheers

Well, here on Lamma it's a pretty miserable winter. Nothing like Canada, but 10C feels pretty cold and it's enough to give you one, especially as the houses have no heating or insulation and are colder inside than out -- I'm currently wearing two jumpers, a jacket, thick socks and still feel nippy.

For the current weather, temperature & forecast in HK, just check out our home page, top left.

Cold? I'm sitting here in my short-sleeved DickStock '04 T-shirt right now (8:45am) and I've got no heating either, windows partially open. 18.5 degrees in my home office right now. But this night - when Alan posted his message - above, was pretty cold.

For a lot more people photos from Lamma oldtimers, click on Links at the top of this page and go to the Photo Galleries section...

Good Lord!

If I had known you three local boys had been posting stuff in my forum I would have deleted it earlier than this.

Visitors to oldsters forum generally don't blather.

Good to see some of these, in fact, I took a number of them! Can't imagine how they ended up here!

Particularly the ones from Tootchka's - Jenks, Bgosh, the United stewardess (Karin?), her beau at the time.

Is Jenks still around? I fondly remember our 'tip to civilization' by having tea and reading the papers at the Deli Lamma in the AM prior to moving into beer for the rest of the day.

I was there from 92- 98, my flat was behind "grannys" and owned by Mrs Wong of the Sampan Restaurant.

Y'all called me "Big Pete", I was in the media business in the PRC.

I'm currently living (not so large) in New Orleans, still digging out from last year's hurricane.

And to think I used to scoff at those "black flag" days on Lamma.

Hi to all.

wow.... I've seen these before in Keith's web jottings some time back...woohoo.

...guilty as charged for oggling the beautiful Jo in her days at the Fountainhead, chatting/drinking/eating to/with most in those pics especially Jenkin ( and playing heaps of liars dice at the waterfront) plus spending a few quiet moments with a certain pictured member of the female persuasion..errrhem!.

Thanks Keith for the ma....err memories :)
