Which is the quickest and most convenient route to hook onto the MTR from Lamma?

I've taken the ferry across to Central..then walked ( quite a way!) to connect with the metro and head towards Tsuen Wan... options?

Could I ferry across the harbour and connect on the other side with less walking?

Thanks!
a 'newbie' on Lamma

That would be a few dollars cheaper, give you a pleasant Star Ferry trip, but take half an hour longer and involve more walking to get to TST station.

There used to be a ferry directly from Central to Tsuen Wan, I just checked that and it appears to have stopped in 2000.

The easiest and the quickest way to Tsuen Wan is to take MTR Tung Chung Line to Nam Cheong and change to West Rail Line to Tsuen Wan West station.

Journey Time: 21mins $13.2

or you can take the Tung Chung Line to Lai King and take the Tsuen Wan Line from there towards Tsuen Wan.

Journey Time: 22mins $11.5

Cheers and thanks!

I don't think I'll be trying the ferry to TST route as it will double my travel time!

Thanks for the info about switching lines.. I'll try that!

Thanks again,

Amber
