where can we take our glass to recycle, if we cant make the time of 1pm - 4pm on the fri and sat...or can the glass be left near the collection points before the 1pm deadline ?...for example if i left our glass near the football pitch disposal area at say 11am on a sat will it get collected by the recycle team or just thrown away by the local disposal cleaners...should there not be a designated area the glass can be left at anytime during the week where the recycle team can go there to collect ? |

There isn't anywhere yet. Possibly you could ask some of the bars, they are storing their bottles for the collection. I store my glass in an old trolley outside and every 2-3 weeks trundle it down. The EPD is doing this as greenwash. They made it as difficult as possible for people to even hear about. They just wanted to hand out leaflets and pretend they were doing something. But we are collecting over a ton of glass a week now, (1100 kg today), 10 times what they get on Cheung Chau, and the next step is to use this fact to insist they make permanent collection points |
