Several people coming off the 6:40pm ferry from Central yesterday, Fri July 20, alerted me to a Discovery Bay ferry anchored at the YSW Waste Transfer Station, just in front of the helipad. I quickly snapped a photo and this "Discovery Bay 5" ferry was actually empty. No idea of what it was doing here and if it's still here now, the next morning. Does anybody know more or should we just speculate? Yes, let's.... Silent invasion from DBay, preparing a takeover of our island to turn it into another DBay lookalike? Test run for the Discovery Bay ferry co. taking over the YSW - Central route and jacking up the fares to similar heights as the Central - DBay route? DBay ferries being used to collect our waste from the Waste Transfer Station, maybe the 1+ tonnes of glass now being collected for recycling here every Fri and Sat afternoon? Emulating HKKF's profitable daily night cruises for Mainlanders from Cdntral to Sok Kwu Wan, maybe this is a night tour for DBay residents to check out YSW's old and new restaurants; after getting tired of all the vastly overpriced, but often mediocre fare offered in many DBay Plaza's D-Deck restaurants? Your speculations?

Reviving a traditional HK islands industry. Hijacked by Lamma pirates and being held for ransom. It worked for Somalia. |

What about misleading some of the big container cargo ships onto the rocks of Pak Kok and then looting the goods? Lamma would thrive! Of course if lucky. If unlucky it could be one million tons of Hello Kitty bags, or even worse – counterfeit Hello Kitty bags. |

So that's where my private yacht went! I should never have left the keys in the ignition! |

Would this have anything to do with the Long Win Bus Co? According to yesterday's Post (page C4), Long Win Bus "provides services to Lamma Island, Disneyland and Chek Lap Kok airport. |
