Hahaha! Yes, that's why we nicknamed that place Policebox quite a few years ago. A surefire Lamma Video of the Week for the home page! Title? The former-former Lamma Police Chief was nicknamed in the Lamma-zine Senior Inspector Woo-Woo (Joe Wu, Mr. November in my 2008 Lamma Calendar), after the sound the TARDIS/Policebox makes when appearing/disappearing. See below, one of the pieces in my LammaCelebrityCam series of prints, part of my solo exhibitions in HK art galleries, years ago. Where has our Policebox disappeared to and what will take its place in our realm? Only time will tell (and our current Police Chief is not telling, or she might just not know, or does she???) |

Published on Feb 1, 2015 by Robert Hope-Jones: "Join me on an [annotated] mountain bike ride: Mostly high speed replay of one of my favourite night time journeys from Yung Shue Wan to Tung O Wan, Lamma Island, Hong Kong. Lots of extreme uphill and meandering downhill sections, ridden late at night, there is the extra thrill of the dark, and the comforting sense of being alone on the road. The route winds up through stunning mountains, skirting a coastal path for most of the journey, and diving down into fishing villages, finally ending up at the almost forgotten tiny fishing community. The journey on a bike can be done in under 20 minutes at a pace. Don't view this at close range as the rocking motion of the camera might be off putting!" |

This short film was filmed on Shek Pai Wan beach (S. Lamma) a few months back (see Photo of the Week, June 8, 2015. One of the main actors was Nissa Marion, (former WWF Director of Conservation and ex-Lammaite) Andy Cornish's new wife and one of the power women behind HK Cleanup and Eco-zine. I tagged along, taking lots of pictures (not published yet). LIFE'S A BEACH ~ by Fallout Media "Presented by For Good, in association with Hong Kong Cleanup / 清潔香港 Alan wakes up marooned on a mysterious island filled with rubbish. He thinks all is lost until he runs into a group of hooded strangers...
