SANTA NEEDS YOUR HELP THIS YEAR!!
The Island Bar participates in Operation Santa every year, traditionally with a Christmas Quiz, Carol Singing and A Family Treasure Hunt. With generous contributions from Lammaites and also visitors, we usually collect about $15,000 -20,000 (highest ever was circa $60,000 after theTsunami). Thank you everyone!
Sharon at The Island Bar wonders if anyone out there can help out with some new IDEAS for this year’s Op Santa. It would be great to broaden the base of activities.
Two ideas are Air Guitar and Bingo. If anyone has any idea how to organize either of these, or anything else for that matter, it would be great. There is no need to promise much time to run the activities, but advice how to go about it would be much appreciated.
We cannot compete with the big boys on Hong Kong Island, but the people on Lamma do make an effort and their contribution is always much appreciated. It would be great for everyone concerned if we can raise a bit more this year since it looks like even the Jockey Club will have less money to give to charity in these sad times.
