I went swimming this morning (May 23), wading through the Line of Scunge which is often a few feet from shore on a rainy day at Yung Shue Wan beach. Near the outer boundary I felt a pain. I looked around to see a jellyfish. So, there is a jellyfish within the shark nets at Yung Shue Wan beach. I do not think it is dangerous. I brushed against it and felt pain because many species of jelly fish, I understand, generate mild toxins in order to stay alive, to define their gelitanous existence as opposed to the void, to which they are close being made mostly of water.

But, as I continued my workout I reflected that according to Bill Bryson (A Short History of Everything) we are also mostly water (water water): 90%.

Also, what is that Thing which on a wet night, goes Gwaaaarp, perhaps as a love call, and to which another Thing replies, Gwaaarp? Is it the Giant Gwaaarp of Lamma seeking its mate?

Could be.

CALIBAN
Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices
That, if I then had waked after long sleep,
Will make me sleep again: and then, in dreaming,
The clouds methought would open and show riches
Ready to drop upon me that, when I waked,
I cried to dream again.
