Nice shot - very atmospheric reminder of damp nights walking home on Lamma. |

You're right, Chuck! But if more people would be submitting photos for the "Photo of the Day" spot oin the home page, this Lamma photo collection would become even better. bbdog, your night shot was on the home page yesterday! More, more! As we're in the middle of the rainy season, rain shots are most welcome! This one was shot from The Water Front Rest. yesterday morning, during an absolutely amazing, high-volume, tropical downpour. As their terrace is just covered by an awning and plastic sheets on 3 sides, the rain noise was most impressive. May 29, 2006: Rainy Sunday at YSW beach, by L-G |

Picturesque & quaint, with a colourful composition. But do you have a similar one with a little bit more water, please? |

Here's my effort du jour. I didn't have a tripod so hand held it which means the composition isn't what I wanted. I still quite like the result though..... <img src="http://www.compunicate.com/Lamma/Blog/Photo-of-the-Day/Ingmar-powereflection_717wp.jpg" width=640> Powereflection |

One day when we're heading to the ferry, my wife said that the dried leaves looks like bats, to me, it's kinka "Sleepy Hollow", do you know where it is? I didn't have my monster camera with me, so I just took this pic with my cell phone, looks spooky huh? |

Wow, I've benn flooded with submissions for Photo of the Day! I've got more responses to this photo submission appeal than to any other Lamma-zine story this year so far! I've got enough photos for a number of days, but keep them coming! Great ones can even jump the queue for early publication, IF there'd be a queue! By the way, more people photos, please! And even pet photos are welcome, if they're funny and/or outstanding in some way. Good example is today's Photo of the Day on the home page, submitted by e from LAWC. But no flooding me with all your pet pohotos, please. The photos have to be outstanding, Lamma-related and special in a way obvious to the viewers who usually will not know the pet. |

Lightning inside a cloud at night, just above the windturbine, submitted by Andy Griff, already made into a "Photo of the Day" on the home page: "Taken at 05:22am after watching football in Diesel's, hence the title 'England 2, Sweden 0'"

A really amazing photo I received just today from French Igor: I wonder what this strike actually hit? The mountain of coal is in about that position. If it ever ignited, we'd all notice pretty quickly... |

I think you'll find the coal mountain is further to the left. In any case, the chimneys would be more likely to be hit. That looks as though it is someway out to sea. My flat lights are up near top left and I would have heard any strike on the power station - it is one hell of a noise - and it hasn't happened for a long time. Of course, that photo could be an old one. |

It's been thousand that I told myself to bring my tripod to work when I was heading back home from ferry every evening. I finally did last night an I took a few shots until I was stopped by a local. |
