A little hand-held 180-degree panorama from the library. Click to zoom.

I tried a 360 degree, but it wasn't good enough for publication.
I really need to get a rotating tripod trying to reach Wingman's quality.

Nice pic LG, actually yours looks pretty good! It's just the software which doesn't handle the distortion very well. Anyway, I've been so busy after the chinese new year. I just squeezed an hour after work this evening and stitched the bottom row of the YSW ferry pier.

Enjoy!

A bit (but not much) off-topic ... these latest panoramas show me something I've always wanted to know ... what the HEC stacks look like relative to the rest of the YSW landscape. It's not always easy to imagine from maps or the usual tourist photos.

Great work, guys! :)

OK, I've finally got a tall tripod a while ago and here's the first 360-degree panorama I shot last Saturday night from the middle of the old jetty.

Click to get a huge version of this panorama.

I also made a QuickTime VR scene where you can pan and zoom the view (click and hold down the mouse button while moving the cursor around inside the image).

The effect can be like like sitting on a rotating office chair and somebody spinning you around. The panorama is huge, so you can zoom in to individual buildings and landmarks. But the file to download is large, so it'll take a little while, like a small video:

Click below for large panoramas - 180 and 360 degrees - which I shot from the top of Mt. Panorama, just above Lamma Winds, a few weeks ago:
