Debbie and I are working on the Lamma Calendar 2013, an A4-sized wall calendar very similar to the 2011 edition.

See the boxes in Diesel's and 7th Avenue and the Lamma-zine, today, Sep 21 for details on how to get YOUR Lamma photos into the "official" Lamma Calendar. It'll be ready and sold at the Lamma Fun Day on Nov 24 and afterwards along Main Street.

This time, we'll happy to accept more than 1 photo per monthly page, for example 2 vertical or 3 panorama photos or even mixed layouts fitting into the landscape format of the calendar pages.

Photos not selected for the Calendar will still be featured on this website, with your permission, for example as Photo of the Day or in Lamma-zine stories or photo galleries, with full credits, of course.

The calendar just went into production after Debbie has selected all the photos.

It has raised HK$4,640 already before even being printed, from the donations of the photographers and all the Lamma Faces photos! The profits from the sale will go to another tbc Lamma charity(ies).

Ready for sale at the Lamma Fun Day and in Lamma shops and bars afterwards, $60, $100 for two, same price as two years ago.

The Lamma Calendar is going into its fourth year of publication. The calendar is a community project that raises money for charitable causes via photo submissions of Lamma photography, and profits from sales of the calendar on the island.

Previous Lamma Calendars

LAMMA CALENDAR 2014
- All donations from photo submissions this year will again be given to the Child Welfare Scheme (CWS)
- Sales profit from the calendar will also be donated to charitable causes on Lamma. Beneficiaries to be announced soon!
- New this year! The publisher will invite Lamma businesses to sponsor a month in the calendar. Get your logo and contact details hanging on walls across Lamma for 12 months for just the cost of a donation to charity!
- The calendar will be launched at the Lamma Fun Day on 23rd November 2013, and for sale on Lamma thereafter

LAMMA CALENDAR 2013
Last year's calendar raised a total of HK$13,440. Donations were distributed as follows;
- Child Welfare Scheme (http://cwshk.org/Home.aspx) received the donations from photo submissions
- Living Lamma (http://livinglamma.org/) received profits from the sales on Lamma Fun Day

To submit your photo to this year's collage page, please submit your photos by DEADLINE 4th October!
- Each photo should contain one face only and be in jpg format
- Maximum 1MB
- Attach your photo to an email and send to lamma_calendar_2014@hotmail.com.
- Please highlight your name and donation details in your email
- Photos from your smartphone will probably meet this spec.

CALL TO ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS!
To submit your photo to the publisher for consideration, photos must be submitted by DEADLINE Oct 4th, 2013 and must be:
- Lamma-themed
- 1 landscape photo, or a collage of photos in landscape format saved as jpg file
- Minimum of 283mm x 218mm - Minimum 300 dpi - Maximum 6MB
- Please attach your photo to an email and send to lamma_calendar_2014@hotmail.com or drop a CD in the drop boxes at Lamma Grill and Diesel's.
- Photos from your smartphones probably won't meet these specs and will be of insufficient quality for printing. Please check before submitting.

DONATIONS
All photo submissions for the calendar require a donation to Child Welfare Scheme (http://cwshk.org/Home.aspx)
- Lamma Faces Collage page: HK$40 per photo, or HK$100 for 3 photos
- Calendar pages submissions: HK$50 for one, or HK$100 for 3 photos
To make your donation, you can donate to CWS directly (see http://cwshk.org/Donate.aspx for details) or you can drop your money in an envelope in the drop boxes at Diesel's and the Lamma Grill; please remember to put your name on the envelope!
- Please mark clearly in your transfer that the donation is for your Lamma calendar submission
- Please put your donation details in your email

Please Note: By submitting their photos for the calendar, entrants are giving permission to publish them in the Lamma Calendar 2014. However, all copyright of photographs remains with the photographer; the publisher will not distribute the photos for anything other than Lamma Calendar 2014 and its marketing.

SPONSORING A MONTH
New this year, the publisher invites Lamma businesses to sponsor a month in the 2014 calendar. Put your logo and number (or even special offers!) on one of the monthly pages, and have your contact details hanging on walls across Lamma for the whole of 2014. There have been more submissions than ever before - almost twice as many! Some really hard decisions are ahead for the publisher to choose the finalists! The shortlist has been chosen already and the final decision will be made by the end of the month.
