Deb Lindsay writes on her FB page, Lamma Calendar 2014:

The Lamma Calendar is going into its fourth year of publication. The calendar is a community project that raises money for charitable causes via photo submissions of Lamma photography, and profits from sales of the calendar on the island.

Deb writes:

"Calendar submissions are now closed. On behalf of CWS, thanks to all of you for participating this year.

There have been more submissions than ever before - almost twice as many! Some really hard decisions are ahead for the publisher to choose the finalists! The shortlist has been chosen already and the final decision will be made by the end of the month.

Runners-up will receive a calendar-size digital print of their photo. Thanks again to all of you who have participated!"

Here are links to my own final submissions, shortlisted by Deb the Lamma Calendar editor/producer/distributor from my own favourite Lamma photos of the last year, see below. Deb used two of my photos in last year's calendar.
But I can't be sure yet if even one of these 3 below will be chosen for the calendar as the competition seems to be pretty stiff this year. I haven't seen any of candidates yet, as it's all handled by Deb, all credits go to her for this great and very successful charity project, now in its 4th year! I'm just the main promoter and one of the monthly sponsors this year.

These are my submissions:

"To all photo contributors and sponsors of the Lamma Calendar 2014. A total of HK$8,195 was raised for CWS this year - more than any other year! - thanks again for taking part!

A sneak preview of the calendar went up on the Facebook page this week - if you haven't seen it yet, you can find it here;
https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/157675927767337/

The calendars will go on sale at Lamma Fun Day on Saturday, and will be for sale from outlets on Lamma thereafter. It would be great if you could help me to boost potential sales by sharing the preview on your Facebook page, and encouraging your friends to buy a copy or two for stocking fillers.

Bulk buying is 10 or over, and if you buy 10 you get one free - but only if you buy on Fun Day or from me directly!

ALL profits from sales (ie, after print and transport costs) will be shared equally between three beneficiaries:

Lifelong Animal Protection (LAP): http://www.lap.org.hk/
Living Lamma: http://www.livinglamma.com/
To help towards medical costs for a the Searl Family

Many thanks for your support!"

I'm proud to be again a photo contributor and sponsor of this beautiful collector's item - January page - to be sent to my family and friends overseas. I'll definitely be bulk buying....

Just a few calendars left, after some major sales on YSW Main Street over the weekend...

We're still accepting international mail orders, besides the numerous places in Yung Shue Wan that are selling it, plus Purple Cow at Central Pier 4 (Lamma).
