I had a shock one day while out walking my dog. My doggy seemed so happy with a newly found large bone in her mouth. on a closer inspection it turned out to be a human leg bone.
Luckily, close by, there was a burial urn which had fell over spilling out some contents.
I put it back before she started to chew. Naughty doggy!

Be careful hiking in the hills, look out for hidden grave holes too, you could end up in an early one

Shame you could not have put this on the site before the holiday, it might have put a few visitors off!

You are right about the hidden graves. They could break a bone. 8)

had to call the police cause it was just all over the place
avoiding that spot now,

took a while to erase that memory and smoch my dog!

Location: A drainage ditch near you
A few months after I moved to Lamma (and HK), I was walking on snake path. I heard Romer's tree frogs calling back in the bushes. They prefer to breed in small wet areas and don't need a larger pond, but I couldn't imagine that there could be much water back in the bushes. I saw a big pot, and thought 'how convenient', and I knew it must be filled with water. It had no lid, so I craned my head in and was greeted with a soaking pile of human bones. I very quickly realized what the "convenient pot" was all about and scurried away without seeing how many frogs were there. I think these pots probably provide some nice breeding habitat for Lamma's iconic frog.
